The problem is the word 'flexible'.
If you designate areas for housing based on 550 per year and growth does not require this amount it would be impossible to refuse a devolper wishing to build on land so designated.

Tighten regulations re HMOs.

Provide for gypsies and travellers.

Provide for the elderly.
This has benefits for all.

I support the need to provide accommodation for university Students but not by enabling more and more homes be let to them; Leamington suffers from the loss of many small terraced houses to students rather than to local people; this is an inefficient use of the scarce housing resource and distorts communities. Specialised student accommodation is preferable as it can be let during the summer vacation providing more hotel rooms within the area for visitors to the Bowls competitions etc.

I also strongly the support the provision for gypsies and travellers and am ashamed that we have not already provided this within the District.

providing suitable accommodation for the elderly is both necessary given the ageing population but also beneficial in that it should encourage the release of other housing for young families.

There is a desperate waste of housing stock - many ageing people such as myself (62) live in large family homes that are no longer utilised to their capacity. The blight of HS2 is making it impossible for many to downsize
