There is too much reliance placed on the existing road network, and an over-reliance on people commuting significant distances from residential areas by road.
There needs to be a more integrated transport plan, that considers availability of rail and other forms of public transport to access the employment sites.
The provision of a 'central opportunity belt' effectively eliminates collaboration between businesses in the development region and more established business in the surrounding counties.
