No - the plan should set out a tree canopy target, as other Councils have done, to be more ambitious at a wider scale.The policy on trees and hedgerows (DPD 42) needs to value trees and hedgerows for
their carbon sequestration and storage, as well as their ecological and amenity value. It
shouldn't be possible for a whole wood to be cut down to build houses, as happened at
Mappleborough Green.
