Tourism does play a strategic role, in terms of visitors to Stratford Upon Avon and Warwick Castle amongst others - National Trust properties, British Motor Museum, Warwick Arts Centre, Kenilworth Castle - as well as overspill from National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, Oxford. The provision of hotel accommodation for those visitors, alongside short term self-catering and camping / caravan grounds should also be considered as strategically important. Those developments have impact upon housing availability for residents, amenity, traffic and shared access to local entertainment and leisure.
