I do not agree with this policy because carbon sequestration is not a true solution to rising emissions. Instead of offsetting pollution, we should focus on reducing it at the source. The best way to achieve this is by improving public transport links, including new railway stations that serve more local areas. Expanding sustainable transport options will lower car dependency, directly cutting emissions rather than relying on ineffective carbon capture methods. A real commitment to reducing carbon should prioritize practical solutions like better public transit, not just theoretical offsets.
