Warwickshire cannot be compared with cities for transport needs. Car ownership should not be discouraged as a County plan since no other feasible option exists for many. Bus provision in many rural areas is infrequent and severely limited with few destination choices placing residents there at a great disadvantage. Bishop's Tachbrook to Warwick hospital is only 3 miles but takes 2 buses and an hour's travel. Many have to come from Shipston/Stratford rural areas for treatment with inadequate parking provision in Warwick. Walking/cycling are not feasible for many and their needs should be recognised more fully.
