Wilmcote and Bearley do not need a large housing development. The proposal is for 6,700 homes, primary schools, a high school. The lovely green spaces around these two settlements will be swallowed up by red bricks and pathways. Wilmcote has a very significant historical building within it, Mary Arden's House. A housing estate of this scale will detract from its charm and rural 'farm' appeal. 6,700 homes will generate nothing but over-crowding, pollution, carbon emissions and floods. Congestion is already a huge problem and our rural lanes cannot cope with more.
