There needs to be so much more emphasis on parking. Every new development I have seen being consulted on fails to fully acknowledge what happens when estates are built/buildings are converted which don't provide enough room for residents cars. It massively impacts residents, neighbours of those estates and properties, traffic flow and traffic safety. Once approved it is almost impossible to reverse the impact, we must be realistic about the numbers and their implications - recommending car share clubs simply isn't enough and avoids the reality.
