Sustainable levels of growth are not available in Shipston. Large employers have left the town in recent years; Ellen Badger hospital has no beds for an increasingly elderly population; the high school has no sixth form; the Town has no active Fire station.
Inadequate infrastructure was provided for the new homes built over the last 5 years. More needs to be in place BEFORE any new building is commenced.
Existing sewage network cannot cope now; raw sewage in gardens. Town centre prone to flooding from river and localised surface water flooding on roads fields and proposed sites for building.
