The strategy to focus economic development alongside existing and planned public transport and housing focusses the development on the West of Warwick/Hatton area.

The Gaydon area is dependent on JLR for employment. Jaguar itself has been for many years. Land Rover is profitable but is a "big bet" for the area, in a competitive, fast evolving market for vehicles. The large, energy hungry vehicles that Land Rover make are of dubious sustainability.
Relying on this employer in the Gaydon area is highly risky. There should be diversification of employment around Gaydon to ensure that the area is economically sustainable.
