My understanding is that at the Public Examination session on 13 October 2016, WDC officers agreed to remove the Old Milverton site from the areas of search for Park and Ride.
Moreover, the 'Submitted Plan' did not include the Old Milverton site.
This site should therefore not be included in the proposed sites.

I also consider the proposed Park and Ride facility at either the Old Milverton or the Blackdown sites to be unsound, because:
1) Traffic congestion is already a major problem North of Leamington and especially in the A452. The proposed scheme, will additional traffic and buses, would make the situation even worse, with adverse consequences for residents, commuters and visitors/ tourism, as well as an increase in pollution.
2) The scheme would result in loss of productive farmland and countryside, which is used extensively for leisure purposes. Risk of flooding would potentially increase.
3) Associated loss of parking in Leamington town would be bad for residents, visitors, and detrimental to local shops, businesses and tourism.
4) Roadside parking would be likely to increase even further to the North of Leamington, to the detriment of residents.
5) Commuting times and costs would increase.
6) Further loss of Green Belt land, should not as a general principle be permitted.
