Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

As a Gaydon resident I wish to object to the inclusion of SG13 and SG14 for the following reasons.

1. Local infrastructure cannot accommodate significant growth and over-development will exacerbate existing deficiencies.

The NPPF states new development should be focused in areas with existing transport infrastructure. The proposals do not identify the limits of existing infrastructure or the impacts of new development on constrained healthcare (emergency and primary), education, utilities, road access, conditions and width, and public transport.

2. The Plan does not properly consider the impacts of existing large-scale development through JLR/AML and new housing estates in Lighthorne and Lighthorne Heath.

JLR, AML and the Motor Museum provide major employment in the area. There is no evidence of further demand for expansion. The builders of the Lighthorne housing development needed to incentivise employees of JLR and AML to purchase those houses. Gaydon and surrounding villages have no railway station and insufficient transport links so any further development would be entirely dependent on private car travel.

3. Failure to comply with the NPPF - Sustainable planning is a key objective for national and local planning policy

The proposed development sites would damage the rural environment through harm to landscape and the wild environment and take away productive farming land. The area has historical significance through the battle of Edgehill which would be destroyed by over-development. Development of greenfield land has negative impact on the environment and farming.
