The proposed vision is supported, and is considered appropriate for the emerging Local Plan. The overarching principles are also supported, although it is noted that no specific reference to homes is included. As such, it is considered that this should be included in the second principle, which should read: A well-designed and beautiful South Warwickshire – creating spaces where people want to be and live, which respect and reflect the existing beauty and heritage of the area.
Whilst overall the strategic objectives are supported, it is considered that further consideration may need to be given to the wording of these objectives following the publication of the new National Planning Policy Framework in December 2024 (and minor revisions in February 2025).
