I would like to register my views on the South Warwickshire Local Plan.

I live in Newbold Pacey and have done so with my family for nearly 40yrs. We chose to live here because we are surrounded by beautiful countryside and with that comes the most wonderful wildlife. I am now horrified by what could happen to all of this ie: loss of countryside and over development .We do not want to live in an area of industrial and large scale development .A large solar farm has been built on Agricultural Land going down into Wellesbourne, it is nothing but an eyesore. Beautiful countryside covered in ugly glass panels !!!

The road B4087 is already very busy and cannot take more traffic and there is nowhere to widen it. This also applies to roads through Wellesbourne and surrounding areas such as Hampton Lucy and Charlecote. They cannot take HGV’S etc.

The only people to benefit from these projects are the Construction companies. The occupants of the beautiful villages will just suffer !

Please look at the numbers of unoccupied properties in Warwickshire before you start planning for more. I understand the number is considerable. REFURBISH THESE. If building , build on brown field sites not beautiful countryside and farmland. Where are all our crops going to be grown, surely we do not want to import everything? Where will all the wildlife go ? Put solar panels on existing commercial buildings and houses.

How long will Warwickshire be Beautiful !!!!!
