"Focusing and promoting a high standard of design in new developments that are innovative, adaptable, low carbon, climate resilient, locally distinctive and respect the local character and setting of the existing settlements".

Why, when one looks at the soulless swathes of identikit housing estates to the south of Leamington approved by the very same councils and planning departments that are putting forward these proposals, should one believe that any future developments will be any better or meet any of these lofty aspirations.
