allotments offer sustainable food production which is healthier and cheaper so benefit population health.
Health also benefitted by working on allotments - exercise for population.
Many allotments in south warwickshire are threatened to be built over by developers and need protecting.

NHS is also looking in some areas at providing 'prescriptions for gardening for health' - difficult if been built over.
Helps lower socio-economic groups to access orchards and gardening
