Lazy planning/scatter-gun approach: destroying greenbelt/farmland to plant houses/roads,
further reducing already severely depleted biodiversity simply because someone offered
land; agriculture is our planet's most important industry.
House/concrete/asphalt covered areas create sewage/extra surface water.
Prioritise brownfield sites/empty properties despite challenges to determine ownership.
Create housing/local communities where people are employed/spend time, minimise
transport reliance (e.g. caregivers living in Stratford instead of Coventry).
Satellite suburbs increase car reliance; existing railway stations don't naturally provide links
to myriad of places where people spend work, dutiful and leisure time.
Stop being lazy/create cohesive, sustainable neighbourhoods where nature/biodiversity is
already depleted; scale up existing infrastructure.
