The land surrounding Knightcote is unsuitable due to lack of other infrastructure. Schools & doctors are already oversubscribed & roads, which were never built for heavy traffic with heavy Lorrie’s going through conservation areas & breaking up roads & destroying the fabric of historic buildings.
Natural habitats would be destroyed. The bird & insect population is already much lower in the area than previously. Conservation of the environment is essential..

There's too much housing around here already. Fenny Compton had Compton Locks estate put in with no thought of extra traffic in the village which has become a nightmare. We've met our housing needs. There's also the new houses being built at Lighthorne Heath which brings more traffic into the surrounding areas. A huge number of people in this area work at JLR or Aston Martin, our village daily has to deal with inconsiderate drivers speeding through our village and additional people moving into the area are going to put more stress on our already pushed to the limit surgery.

This proposal will impact on the character of an area of small villages dispersed around flat open countryside, the perception of which would be destroyed by the creation of a sprawling town of 5000 homes.
There will be significant impact on highways as other infrastructure (eg primary school, a community facility of some kind, some play areas, other necessary facilities) will most likely be proposed. Impact on the local road network will be significant, exacerbated by the fact that most local roads are B-roads without ability to increase their capacity, whilst upgrading them would be immensely costly.
