Whilst Bidford has a larger population than Alcester, we have a disproportionately lower amount of amenities for the existing residents. The roads are regularly clogged up due to medieval bridge, and two recent new housing estates. We need no more housing, without significant funding and improvement of current facilities. A GP surgery unreachable by pedestrians in winter hours of darkness, no NHS dentist, no facilities for children.

SHLAA Land Parcels assessment 2021 rejected fields BD03 & BD04 on grounds of environmental suitability; landscape impact, impact on settlement character and agricultural land quality. Due to the elevated, exposed approach of this land means that effective mitigation cannot be achieved. The topography has not changed for SG20.

Local roads cannot handle existing traffic; extra flow poses an accident hazard. Poor public transportation links - improving requires considerable, ongoing, cost. Very limited local job opportunities. Farm land, not "grey" land used impacting local community jobs and food security. No mains sewerage, electricity, gas or water in much of area. No local dentist, limited GP surgeries, no local A & E; primary, social, adult healthcare and screening services already under pressure. Local primary school already full. Grammar School system unable to accommodate extra pupils. SG18 & SG19 do not suffer from the above and would be better choices.

The proposed development on fields between Bidford and Ardens Grafton cannot be given permission to go ahead!
The level of increased traffic on rural roads would be dangerous and unsustainable. All traffic from that estate heading for A46 east would all drive through Temple Grafton- speeding is an issue anyway in the village but with vastly increased numbers of cars, the village life would be destroyed forever and would be a dangerous and noisy and polluted village to live in, life would be intolerable.

This will cause a perceived joining up creep effect of the villages
This area has beautiful country views to the Cotswolds and Bredon Hill, jewels to be kept and valued for all to enjoy.
Housing will put pressure on the excellent Bidford Health Centre, and more cars will make the country roads even more dangerous for the ever increasing cyclist traffic.Cycling in this beautiful pocket of countryside should be encouraged and made safer.
More cars will mean more using the Graftons as a cut through,dropping rubbish and speeding with no environmental cares.

SG20 - Ardens Grafton - any growth development around this location will pose increased pressure on an already overused road network that carries a high level of accidents and near accidents through vehicles trying to bypass the A46/B439 road network. A46 is uncrossable at times and poses travel risk. This is hazardous in the rural village of Ardens Grafton which has narrow roads, lack of footpaths and street lighting. Horse riders and walkers using the countryside designated walkways are constantly at risk. No bus network or local train station to service the area. This is a non-serviced area.

I am concerned that the land proposed under SG20 was originally purchased by Warwickshire CC in its support of assisting farming and its tenants and therefore should not be earmarked for housing development. I strongly object to the coalescence between Bidford and Ardens Grafton. Development in Bidford should avoid the fields adjacent to Grafton Land and George Elm Lane, due to the narrow, winding roads. The absence of a train station in Bidford and no active bus service between Bidford and the Graftons highlights a lack of sustainable travel options. The A46 has frequent congestion and lacks planned expansion to handle increased traffic from housing developments. Recent significant housing development in Bidford has exacerbated traffic, turning the narrow rural roads in Grafton village into a rat run. These fields are high-grade agricultural land.
