With no fast connectivity such as rail, and with buses providing the only viable public transport to Stratford-upon-Avon, the effects on traffic in the town and approaches would be untenable. TTG do not support these locations without a proper traffic assessment and planned infrastructure improvements in advance of development.

As a resident of Wellesbourne I am concerned that any new development will only come in the form of new houses and new industrial sites or warehouses. There is already a lack of educational and health facilities in Wellesbourne, with Primary School, GP and Dentist practice being oversubscribed. The roads connecting Wellesbourne with the M40 are already heavily congested and there seems to be no proposed infrastructures improvement in the plan. I am also concerned about the irreversible damage to the natural habitat and threat to local wildlife.

The local transport infrastructure around Wellesbourne is already under excess load - just try driving through town at any time near peak hours. There is effectively only one shop (Sainsbury's) in Wellesbourne which is barely adequate to meet requirements and as for things like education provision - show me the secondary schools ...

Furthermore there a very few employment opportunities in Wellesbourne which means that people will need to travel quite a distance to work - hardly in keeping with Climate Change Nett Zero policy3

As residents of Wellesbourne we strongly object to including the Land East of Kineton Road (SG16) as a site for future housing development. Key points include:

Inadequate Infrastructure: Current services and infrastructure cannot support additional housing.

I wish to object to the proposed developments around our villages. I live in Kineton but have strong links to Tanworth-in-Arden and Wellesbourne. While I've seen new housing benefit local shops and communities, these developments would transform our villages into towns without the necessary services. The increased traffic, especially in Kineton, would create significant issues at narrow junctions. Additionally, the Labour Party's manifesto promised housing on brownfield sites, yet these proposals target green fields, which would permanently damage the natural environment. I urge a reconsideration of land around existing towns for housing, as South Warwickshire's villages should remain distinct.

What is happening to 'The Forest of Arden' and 'Leafy Warwickshire'?
This sort of mass house building in rural Warwickshire is beyond any joke, it is making of small village communities into parts of NEW townships, So they lose ALL identity of their existing community spirit and life.
If SG15 were to go ahead this would finish up the linking up of the townships of Warwick, Leamington & Whitnash with the now large village Wellesbourne. This can not be right!
If this were allowed to go ahead, problems for our existing roads, wildlife, Doctors surgeries.

There are few green areas as it is now. We are currently over our housing allocation by 200. We have a poor bus service, frequently not even turning up so how would people get to work. The buses take in excess of 30 minutes to reach their destinations. We already struggle with parking and poor roads. Historic local bridges would not take the strain of 1600 more cars, possibly more with 2 per household. There are problems with flooding now! Sewerage runs onto roads and gardens. Jobs are declining here rapidly. We are surrounded by flood plains for a reason!

Leamington has already exploded in the past five years. The roads are jammed, the services are overstretched and the vast housing developements and population explosion is changimg the character of the area and making it unpleasant. Infrastructure cannot cope with all the new 29,000 homes being concentrated in a few massive developments in the area particularly south Leamington and Whitnash which is gridlocked. These houses need to be fully dispersed across the whole of warwickshire with every town and village taking a handful of them. This woudl be a fairer, more sustainable appproach as the infratrusture wil alsways play catch-up.

The airfield must be kept as an airfield. This is the only independent airfield within many miles of Warwickshire/West Mids and offers many business oppertunites. To keep it brief, I am a resident of Wellesbourne for around 14 years, this new application raises serious concerns for me as it shows the destruction of our beloved airfield which has became a symbol to the village and draws people far and wide to the village, I am also worried about Wellesbourne's infrastructure as the roads are already quite bad around the village and thousands of new cars will only make this worse, as for public transport it is pretty much nonexistent in the village thus gridlocking us, I also fear for the local wildlife.
