The Green Belt in North Leamington has reduced over our 30 year residency. Traffic in the North of the town is becoming too heavy and the arterial roads in particular Northumberland Road and Rugby Road cannot sustain further regular traffic and associated needs such as parking. Additional housing in this area will put ressure on schools - GPs and hospitals and other local facilities.

The area in question is a haven for experiencing the natural environment, accessible without transport, from a large area of North Leamington and Warwick. In my view it is essential that areas like this remain for the wellbeing and mental health of the residents of the towns, and building on these areas would have a devastating impact for the many locals who frequently use, and absolutely need, this area for such a purpose. And as our children grow up in this town, to lose such an area as the “Saxon Fields” from their future feels to me shameful.

With the large scale developments on going around Leamington it has created over population in the town and unmanageable traffic. The site is also very close to the Binswood allotments which will further destroy the beautify of the area. More copy paste toy town houses is not what Leamington spa needs.

The development will completely change the area that my family have lived in for nearly 30 years. We have already seen the recent housing developments put an enormous strain on not just the roads but the whole infrastructures of our lovely town. Schools are oversubscribed along with GP surgeries and Warwick hospital , for the first time in its history, declared an emergency this year. You cannot travel across town anymore and the A46 is constantly gridlocked. The environmental cost of this is enormous and unsustainable. With HS2 already decimating our wildlife things will only get even more critical.

When I was 18 years old I took a gap year [redacted]. I spent that year walking my dog along Leicester Lane and into the fields. It was my safe place, it brought me back to life. With these new plans, this natural haven will be destroyed. It breaks my heart to imagine it not there. There is little left in this world that can heal a person in such a way. The environment is the only thing we as a species should care about. These plans do not show that care.

Totally against this development. The council seemed determined to destroy the countryside surrounding Leamington. It makes me very sad. This area is very important for wellbeing, for residents recreation, dog walking and exercise. It is also a natural habit for wildlife, with woodpeckers, squirrels etc all living here. In addition, Leamington has many issues with flooding, so building houses will further add to this. Please don’t destroy Leamington.

The facilities in Leamington are already overcrowded you need to spread people out.
Brown field sites never seem to be used.
In the South of Leamington hedges and trees were cut down and previously hidden pylons exposed which are close to new houses.

The roads are already overcrowded and this will get worse as people living further out will not be able to walk or cycle into town.
We have a dual carriageway and enormous traffic light junctions which just tarmac over land which previously soaked away rain and we are getting more intense rainfall due to global warming.

This area is essential greenbelt separating Leamington from Kenilworth and thus preventing urban sprawl. It is the 'lungs' of the area, providing a well used footpath to the river and beyond, a vital leisure amenity. The roads are already conjested and the infrastructure cannot cope with more population requiring schools, medical facilities etc. In addition, this prime agricultural land must be preserved and used to provide home grown food for the population, rather than importing from other parts of the country or abroad?
Once lost, this greenbelt can never be recovered.

Leamington and the surrounding areas simply don't have the road infrastructure to cope with additional housing so close to the town centre. A significant amount of housing has already been added in the south of Leamington/Warwick which has caused a significant increase in congestion in getting in/out/around the the local area during peak hours/weekends. Given the location of the A46, getting in/out of north Leamington is already quite challenging at those time as well, without adding more traffic. New housing would be better suited in new the new settlement format where it won't add to the already overloaded infrastructure.

1. Non-green field sites should be considered in preference, to preserve our green field sites around Leamington.
2. The area is currently well used by walkers and is a valubale asset to people's mental health.
3. The road system around the area is currently grid-locked at rush hour as traffic comes out of Leamington, or in from the A46 or Kenilworth.
4. There needs to be better much planning re GP surgeries and schools, as well as community areas. Not clear how this will be funded or dealt with

This is the thin end of the wedge. We have, in this area, already seen the barbaric destruction of ancient forest and green belt land to accommodate the white elephant called HS2. Now, with this plan, the intention is to rip up more green belt, green belt may I add that is top grade farmland which aids with the need for the countries food security and sustainability. This area, in its current state, nowhere meets the needs, with regard to infrastructure and services, for its current residence let alone a plan to add 5000 more houses.

Transport links from here to the south of Leamington would require a major new road with a new bridge over the Leam/Avon valley.

- Fields in Blackdown area and north of Milverton are used for farming food and should not be built on removing this important source of homegrown food.
- We live bordering onto these fields and the wildlife we see every day there is incredible. Deer, badgers, foxes, rabbits, bats, and multitudes of birds including birds of prey. Building on that land and removing the habitat would be a disaster for the local wildlife.
- These fields provide a much needed green space for people's wellbeing and are what makes this area such a delight to live in.

I have concerns about the ability of existing roads, cycle lanes, schools and GPs to cope with this large increase in residences/residents.
The roads are already very busy given the close proximity of Lillington primary, Telford Infant, Telford Junior and North Leamington schools. There is no cycle lanes infrastructure and the bus services in this area are very very poor.
