Green Belt land should be preserved and Brownfield land prioritised when possible. New settlements are preferable as new infrastructure can be built which will take the pressure off existing schools, GP practices etc and will reduce traffic in Stratford, particularly on Birmingham Road.

The South Warwickshire overarching principles of a “beautiful […] biodiverse and environmentally resilient South Warwickshire” can only be met if the Green Belt land of the Clopton Quarter part of SG18 is preserved.

I strongly oppose any development on Green Belt land and do not think that these serve as exceptional circumstances in the slightest. We need to protect our green spaces. Also some of the sites such as SG01, effectively join Coventry and Kenilworth up, each town should retain a border around it. The area of green belt in between Coventry and Kenilworth is of particular importance to me as it is nearly completely gone in this plan - its preservation should be a priority.

Green belt areas must be protected at all costs as it provides much needed biodiversity. Site BW: - Green belt is designed to protect the countryside and prevent urban sprawl, all of which is ignored by this scheme. This would be devastating to the area and encourage a ribbon development back towards SuA based on schemes already approved along the A46 Alcester Road. What would happen to our recycling centre?

The country has a sufficiency of housing stock even accounting for multi factorial population growth and appropriate uptake of this should be the emphasis, rather than deregulation of green belt land. This is green belt and we have a moral duty to protect it for future generations and the incraesingly at-risk natural wildlife. I grew up able to ride a bicycle around, but find my children cannot due to the existing traffic levels, conjestion and environmental pollution being generated by stationary traffic in and around STratford Upon Avon, where roads are already choked. Further, it makes economic and moral sense that we place developments in areas where they have existing capacity in infrastructure and transportation links.
