Village Housing Options and Settlement Boundaries
Representation ID: 61327
Received: 20/01/2014
Respondent: Mrs Susan Hogg
Representation Summary:
-A development would destroy the pastoral character and be the first properties seen on entering the village.
-The village has no amenities other than a post box. There are no gas connections to Hill Wootton. The existing services appear to be under continual pressure with regular disruptions and frequent visits from Severn Trent.
-The approaches from each end of the village are from very dangerous junctions (i.e. crossroads beneath the railway bridge)
-The greenbelt should remain a rural idyll.
-There are issues with road closures due to heavy rain (Hill Wootton Road at the River Avon crossing at Blackdown)
