Revised Development Strategy

Representation ID: 54287

Received: 29/07/2013

Respondent: Mr. Richard Barkey

Representation Summary:

Sherbourne includes a conservation area and although not in Green Belt, it is an important part of the heritage and appeal of Warwickshire. The historical appeal of the hamlet really should be preserved and any modern additions would do great harm to the character of the area, for little return in terms of housing availability.

The same would be true of any extension of the settlement envelope and even a capped proportional growth rate would put the landscape and heritage of Sherbourne at risk. However, we would support a low proportional cap over any kind of more dramatic plan.
