Flooding has already caused significant damage in Stratfrod-Upon-Avon in the town centre from the Avon river and further away from the town centre where houses have been built with inadequate flood protections in place.

New development should be prioritised in areas of lowest flood risk. Turning green field into urban areas increases flood risk, grey belt/brown belt field land should be prioritised over greenfield and farmland for development.

Areas of known flood risk should be avoided. Ineveitably developing green field sites increases flood risk within a flood basin.

New developments must not be built anywhere near Flood zone 3 areas. These areas already have flooding to existing properties and with climate change any development upstream of these areas will always cause further flooding problems.

New development too often increases flood risk. Building Companies fail to understand the impact on the overall water table and drainage is insufficient.
Any new developments should be prioritised in areas where the risk of flood is the lowest. 2024 saw significant flooding in Stratford and any new elopements on green belt land would increase the risks

New development should be prioritized in areas with the lowest flood risk. Converting green fields into urban areas increases flood risk; therefore, greybelt and brownfield land should be prioritized over greenfields and farmland for development. This is especially important regarding Hathaway Gardens (Osbourne Grove). I will hold the council accountable if Clopton Quarter is built on and will be bringing a class action

Turning Greenfield into urban areas increases flood risk. Therefore brownfield land should be prioritised over Greenfield and farmland for development.

Strategic growth proposal BW, if accepted, would significantly contribute to local flood risk. The A3400 and surrounding fields already flood and natural land drainage angles towards Aston Cantlow already cause regular road closures doe to flooding. The proposal to build an additional c7000 houses on fields already known to flood regularly would significantly compound the impact on Aston Cantlow and surroundings further increasing impact on road usage and associated pollution.

I agree that areas with the lowest flood risk should be prioritised and changing greenfield into urban areas increases strain on existing infrastructure.
A local development in Stratford-upon-Avon hasn't been implemented properly and surface water flooding occurs in unsuitable areas.
The cumulative effect of numerous developments has caused flooding to residential areas which date back 100+ years with little flooding impact until now.
All new developments should include swales, SuDS, water recycling within the site before discharging into the wider services.

This has got to be a no brainer for all. New developments must be prioritised in low flood risk areas to protect the residents and all others from increased insurance due to short sighted and poorly managed local council planning authorities with their own agendas and not considering the communities they are there to represent.

New development should be prioritised in areas of lowest flood risk. Turning green field into urban areas increases flood risk. I have supplied photos of existing flooding in residential land adjacent to the Clopton Corner part of SQ18. Greybelt / brown field land will already have tried-and-tested excess water management, drainage and facilities in place greatly minimising flooding risk from new development. Greybelt / brown field land should be prioritised over greenfield and farmland for development.

New development projects must concentrate on areas that present the lowest flood risk. The transformation of greenfield land into urban environments exacerbates flood risk, making it crucial to prioritise the development of greybelt and brownfield sites over greenfield and agricultural land. Developing these under-utilised areas not only mitigates the risk of flooding but also helps in preserving the natural landscapes and biodiversity of greenfield sites. This approach ensures that development is carried out in a sustainable manner, balancing the need for urban growth with the protection of the environment and existing communities.

We should ensure that new developments are in areas with the lowest flood risk possible. Building on green areas such as farmland and greenbelt will have a detrimental effect on flood risks and therefore greybelt/ brownfield is the safest and best option and should be prioritised.

Around Wilmcote and Bearley there are huge flooding problems. Roads through surrounding villages such as Great Alne and Little Alne are impassable in high rain along with, at times, the A3400 between the Langley Road/Salters Lane crossroad and the Pennyford Lane/Pettiford Lane crossroad. I have not been able to get my children to Wootton Wawen School due to the A3400 and surrounding villages being flooded. Wootton Wawen is sometimes impassable too. Surface water on the potential sites is nearly always present. Concreting over these will make it worse. How will 10,000 more cars be able to navigate the flooding?!!

Site 492 Land at The Greens, South of Alcester Road, SuA, and site 827 South of Alcester Road, SuA: This field floods after almost any level of rain. It is clearly am important absorption area for rainfall. If developed pressure will inevitably be put on the nearby stream and downstream of that. The developer and residents will have no future responsibility for any future problems meaning that local tax payers will be hit whilst the developer has made off with their profit. This is unacceptable and should be avoided by leaving the field as a field.

In my area of Ufton village, I have had loss of water twice in the lat two years, due to burst pipes. I have also been affected by road closures due to flooding in the Radford Semele area.
As outlined, it would be important to prioritise flood potential issues when considering the sites for new development, some of which are around the Radford Semele area.

Absolutely - it is essential that any new building work takes place in a low risk flood area. If not, it will be generations of misery for anyone living in and around the surrounding area that is impacted by flood water. There is a much higher risk of flooding if green fields are turned into urban areas, and greybelt/brownfield has a much lower risk of flooding.
